About the epizootic situation particularly dangerous animal diseases in the world for July 2013

According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) for July 2013 in the world (including the Russian Federation) reported 48 new outbreaks of transboundary especially dangerous diseases among wild animals and farm animals.

For example, outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza reported in Nepal (3 virus subtype H5N1 outbreak among poultry). FMD virus was isolated in China (serotype A, O, Tibet province), Mongolia (the virus is not serologically among cattle and small cattle), South Africa (1 hearth serotype SAT-1), Zimbabwe (1 outbreak among cattle) and Russia (4 outbreaks of the virus serotype A in Kabardino-Balkaria, the Amur Region and Krasnodar Territory).

In Greece and Taiwan in the pathological material from wild foxes and badgers detected rabies virus. Also, according to the OIE, Cyprus (8 centers in the province of Lefkosia and 2 in the province of Paphos) is a dysfunctional country on Newcastle disease.

Immediately 7 outbreaks of classical swine fever in wild boar registered in Latvia. In the Russian Federation decreased dynamics of occurrence of outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in comparison with June of this year. So for July 2013 in Russia recorded only one new case of detection of the virus in wild boar in the Yaroslavl region. Belarus has officially confirmed the next hotbed of ASF in the Vitebsk region.
